We help children with ADHD, Autism, Learning Disabilities, OCD and other conditions reach their full potential using functional neurology

Welcome to Nurturing Brain Potential

We are here to help children with ADHD, Autism, Learning Disabilities, OCD and other conditions reach their full potential using functional neurology.

We like to think differently here at Nurturing Brain Potential. We believe treatment should be non-invasive. We believe training the body and the mind is more effective than medicating. Our outcomes are simple: we will improve the quality of life for both you and your child.

Nurturing Brain Potential developed by Dr. Robert Milello

Based on the groundbreaking program developed by Dr. Robert Milello

One of the most respected specialists in childhood neurological disorders in America, Dr. Robert Melillo has been helping children overcome learning disabilities for over 30 years. His areas of expertise include: autism spectrum disorders, PDD/NOS, ADD/ADHD, OCD, dyslexia, Asperger’s, Tourette’s, bipolar disorder, and other mental, attention, behavioral and learning disorders. He is also an expert in diet, nutrition and neuroimmune disorders in children and adults.

PAMELA D. GARCY, PH.D.

Dr. Robert Melillo is one of those rare individuals who can unravel the seemingly unsolvable mysteries of neurobehavioral development with wisdom, compassion, and vast perspective. His unique, groundbreaking, and research-based approach to improving brain function introduces the process of unlocking each child’s potential.

DAVID PERLMUTTER, MD

Whether ADHD, autism, dyslexia or any number of neurobehavioral disorders affecting children, it is clear that what finally manifests represents the conspiracy of multiple events. As such, pursuing a multifaceted therapeutic approach as has been so deftly presented by Dr. Melillo offers up a welcome and efficacious contrast to myopia engendered in pharmaceutical monotherapy.

Dr Melillo is a true visionary in the area of childhood developmental disorders, and autism in particular. I have met with children and families whose lives have been transformed by his work. I know that his latest book will be another useful tool that will help others learn about and possibly prevent autism in their children in a way that only he can.

Genevieve Dharamaraj first heard of Dr. Robert Milello’s work at a holistic allied health conference in 2016. After 25 years working in the field of pediatric allied health care and witnessing increasing numbers of children being diagnosed with conditions , Genevieve wanted to offer her clients a more robust treatment option. Fascinated by the positive outcomes, Genevieve Dharamaraj went on to study Childhood Neurology.

About Genevieve Dharmaraj

Genevieve Dharamaraj Nurturing Brain Potential

Genevieve Dharamaraj is a pediatric Allied Healthcare practitioner with over 25 years experience. She holds a Science Degree, Masters of Chiropractic, Masters of Paediatric Chiropractic and is now accredited in Childhood Neurology.

Throughout the years, Gen has noticed a spike in children suffering from ADHD, Autism, OCD, Behavioural and Learning difficulties. As a mum of a Type 1 Diabetic Son, Ryan, Gen explored and studied the link between gut health and the body and mind. She implemented nutritional advice to her clients which helped to a degree but not in entirety.

Gen’s quest for solutions has seen her traverse the globe learning from experts in their field. She was fortunate to follow Dr Rob Melillo to Sofia, Bulgaria to treat children with severe autism. The results were beyond remarkable and Gen knew this groundbreaking method could help many.

Focusing on the brain’s ability to shift and mould with the appropriate training, the Melillo Method is well researched with Harvard Medical School recently scientifically validating the treatment.

Gen believes in a holistic approach to paediatric care. A passionate advocate for treating each child with love, Gen knows no two children are the same. Her work as a Paediatric Chiropractor led her to continue her studies and focus on childhood neurology and launch Nurturing Brain Potential.

Nurturing Brain Potential is the result of lifelong learning, passion and determination to help children with difficulties rise to meet their potential.

Gen combines her scientific mind and natural ability to relate to and calm her patients perfectly. Described as a pseudo counselor by her patients, she is wise, kind and knowledgeable. Her caring nature shines through every interaction with parents and patients alike.

When Gen isn’t working in her practice, you can find her shopping in James Street, New Farm, training for triathlons, spending time with her family and escaping for a cheeky girls weekend here and there.

What To Expect On Your First Visit

The Nurturing Brain Potential Team

You will be warmly welcomed to Nurturing Brain Potential. Our aim is to provide a safe space for you and your family to receive treatment. We understand new environments can be overwhelming for some children. We have noise-canceling headphones, comfortable bean bags, and a range of activities to comfort your child.

During your first visit to our office, we do a lot of listening. We take it slow and easy. The purpose of our initial consultation is we can get to know each other.

To help us to get to know you, you will be sent a new patient questionnaire for us to better understand your needs. It is quite intensive, so find a quiet spot and a great cup of coffee or tea and fill them in. We will need them well before your appointment for us to provide a more thorough examination.

If you have questions or concerns in the lead up to your visit, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. We’re here for you!
